A little bit about me…

I’m currently a student at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor studying Human-Computer Interaction. I've always been fascinated by the intersection of design and technology and how design can be used to solve complex problems and craft beautiful narratives. I am a product designer who loves translating research insights into intuitive digital experiences through thoughtful visual design.

My design journey

My story is unconventional, and I’ve learned a lot while pivoting into product design. Below, you’ll find some fun facts about me and more about my journey into design, attached with a few pictures from my travels and Eevee (my dog).

Fun Fact: I hiked the world’s largest active volcano (Mauna Loa, the last picture) 12 hours before it erupted for the first time in over 40 years! 🌋

My Background in CS

I've always been interested in technology, and I pursued computer science in high school. I didn’t hate it, but I knew it wasn’t my calling and I wanted to find something that allowed me to be more creative.

Pivoting into Architecture

When I started college, I wanted to try something a bit more creative, so I decided to try Architecture. One of my dreams as a kid was to help design and build airports, and I thought Architecture would be my path.

Discovering UX

After taking some time to reflect, I decided to pursue a career field that combines creativity, problem-solving, and my love for technology. Fortunately, my university offered an interaction design program aligned with my interests and gave me exposure.

Diving deeper

I became super involved with UX and was pretty much living and breathing it. I even started my undergraduate university's first UX/UI design club. I also wanted to dive deeper, which is why I decided to pursue my master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction.

In my free time

I recently got into interior design and calligraphy. I’m also a big foodie, especially when it comes to sushi, udon, or enchiladas.

I also enjoy gaming, traveling, listening to pop music, and reading a ton of medium articles.
